Sea Hares

The Sea Hares (Aplysia punctata) are still out in force. They are great characters, with faces like Star Wars extras, crawling over seaweeds and each other. Here another batch of pictures!

  1. An odd year for them here in Jersey, I have yet to see one, they have been seen in Guernsey. Some years I see them regularly from February onwards. Plenty of other nudibranchs to keep me interested though.

    • Hi Nicolas,
I have never seen so many in the rockpools in Falmouth as this year. I have hardly seen any in the eelgrass in nearby Flushing which surprised me. I am very bad at spotting nudibranchs unfortunately but will try this afternoon! cheers Mick
